I would have thought that they were confident because of being dead and being able to trap Goku in an attack that they thought he wouldn't be able to escape from; they miscalculated that much so... I'm not quite sure. Then again, I'm barely remember GT at all.

I don't think it's implausible to suggest he got stronger from fighting Rildo, Baby, and from whatever else he did in between the Baby Arc and S17 Arc. me either, its been implied from the vegeta arc on forward that a saiyans battle power rise with EACH fight, not just zenkais. if a saiyan fights someone more powerful and survive? THEN they get a zenkai. Otherwise chop it up to experience. Otherwise, why would goku get stronger fighting gohan and vice versa? or goku training with uub? uub doesnt get zenkais so i doubt goku would try to kill him.

I'm not quite sure. Then again, I'm barely remember GT at all. They didn't rely on their dead advantage, and they didn't resort to the freezing technique until they knew they were outclassed.

Goku called him a scrub in his perfect face, and then told Cell that he was so trash that herp-the-derp Gohan would be able to finish it. And guess what :3 . Gohan murdered him XDDD. CELL SUCKS ROFL!! Beat by a spaz! And Goku smiles from heaven... Also, I suppose, in anime logic, Goku watches Cell get superperfectpwned by Pikkon the Great, and then watches Goku fight Buu harder than he fought him. [shrugs] Yeah, Goku would be on my hate list if, God forbid, I was Cell.

If I was Cell, I would have gone after Gohan and try and teach him a lesson to destroy my perfect body If I was Freeza I would go after Trunks, especially since he embarrassed him like he did. IF I was Rildo, I would have stayed behind to get another shot at Son Goku imo. Hell, if I was Yakon, I would have also tried to get a hit at Goku. They all will be bleeped off at Goku, but more so their killers...
